Neil Robertson's
MG B GT

It
is a 1971 MG GT and I bought it in 1999. It was owned from 1971 to 1996 by a
solicitor. I have the original bill of sale together with a notebook that
details every expense associated with the car - petrol, servicing, repairs,
etc for the whole 25 years.
I
bought the car from a rally enthusiast who replaced most of the rotten bits
of metal, and had it re-sprayed mineral blue, the original colour was white.
He then decided not to keep it and advertised it in EMG. Again I have a
notebook detailing all the bits he replaced together with a photo album
showing the work in various stages of progress.
I
have fitted a brake servo, new rear springs and shocks, a new clutch (that
was an engine out job), new stub axles, a new radiator grille, and all the
usual consumable materials like fan belts, brake pads, etc. Up to now I have
done all the jobs myself, but it is becoming more difficult because I no
longer have a large double garage.
I
have done about 30,000 miles in it and apart from a puncture on a motorway
some time ago, and this year's non starting saga, it has been reliable.
Regards
Neil
