MG
R V8
The
MG R V8 marked the return of MG to its traditional role as a manufacturer of
quality sports cars in 1992. Despite an obvious MG B ancestry, the RV8 was
a very different car. It was powered by a 3.9 litre V8 engine which was
capable of propelling it to speeds of up to 135 mph with an impressive 0-60
time of 5.9 seconds.
The R V8 cars were very well built with a luxury interior of burr elm,
luxury carpets and leather seats and trim.
There were only 2000 of these cars produced and many were exported, which
means that they are now quite sought after and command high prices.
